ENERGY FUNDAMENTALS - REGISTER NOW

Program Overview

The CECEE Energy Essentials Program introduces students in grades 3–8 to the fundamentals of energy, sustainability, and environmental responsibility. Through interactive lessons and hands-on activities, students learn how energy powers everyday life and explore pathways to future STEM and clean-energy careers.

This program builds early awareness of energy systems while reinforcing science, math, and critical-thinking skills.

Who This Program Is For
  • Students in grades 3–8

  • Youth curious about science, energy, and the environment

  • Beginners with no prior energy or STEM background

What Students Will Learn
  • What energy is and how it is used

  • Renewable vs. non-renewable energy sources

  • Basic electricity concepts

  • Solar, wind, and clean-energy technologies

  • Energy efficiency and conservation practices

  • Environmental impact of energy choices

  • Introduction to careers in energy and sustainability

Summer Program
  • Days: Monday – Thursday

  • Frequency: 4 days per week

  • Duration: 3 hours per day

  • Format: In-person, structured STEM learning

School-Year Program
  • Days: Monday – Thursday

  • Frequency: After-school program

  • Duration: 2 hours per day

Program Structure
  • Instructor-led classroom sessions

  • Hands-on labs and group projects

  • Age-appropriate curriculum aligned to STEM learning standards

  • Small group instruction for individualized support
